A unique STEM standing table for the early years and primary school classrooms. This innovative standing table features a whiteboard table top and a metal frame around the edge of the table. This will help to prevent items and robots from falling off the side of the table. The whiteboard is excellent for brain storming and planning ideas and designs. This STEM table is excellent for art and craft activities as well as for science and other makerspace style activities. The table features lockable castors for easy mobility. It also includes plastic tote trays on one end for extra classroom storage. This innovative activity table measures 120cm wide x 80cm deep x 97cm high. Kit includes the table plus 8 x small trays and 4 x large trays. Always lift the trays when inserting or removing from the frame. Tall tables and desks are designed to be used with tall chairs and stools or as standing desks. They are excellent as a flexible piece of furniture for teachers and educators as well as students. Providing a range of heights and table options encourages students to take ownership of their learning and to be active participants. Tall tables and desks are often seen in science labs, art rooms and libraries. However they can be used in any learning environment. This table can also be used to support social distancing and physical distancing in the classroom.

Using this table as a standing desk also encourages student mobility and supports active learning. Science has shown that sitting for long periods can affect ones health. By providing tall tables and standing desks the time spent sitting can be limited. This can encourage an increase in student engagement. White board tables are an excellent option for any classroom or learning environment. They provide easy access for creative brain storming and group discussion. Students can simply write on the table as they work together. Of course these tables can be used as a traditional table and not as a whiteboard. These tables are especially supportive of STEM activities and Makerspaces as well as literacy and any type of collaborative work. Care and maintenance for our white board tables: Always be sure to use non-permanent, xylene-free, non-toxic, dry erase markers. (We have an excellent range of Teachables whiteboard markers in a variety of colours and thicknesses). We recommend to clean the table tops after each lesson with a whiteboard eraser or a dry, soft cloth. Our Teachables Whiteboard Cleaner is also a great option. Always ensure the ink is dry before wiping off the work to help limit residue being left on the surface. We recommend to wipe clean the tables after each activity and not wait until the end of the day as this ensures for easier cleaning and will limit the ink staining the table tops. If the tables have not been cleaned after each use there is a possibility that the whiteboard marker may stain the table. If you find there are marks or residue left on the table please clean with a moist cloth or with our Teachable Whiteboard Cleaner. We do not recommend to use chemical based cleaners such as bleach as this may affect the surface of the table. With a little care, these tables will provide an excellent surface to support creative thinking and problem solving. This furniture can be used to help to create a flexible classroom. Flexible classroom spaces have shown to increase student performance, communication, engagement and participation. These types of classrooms usually feature multi-functional furniture that creates a comfortable environment which allows students to choose their learning space. Flexible classrooms are usually created in collaboration with teachers and students and help to encourage a more versatile and engaging space. Flexible furniture is suitable for Innovative Learning Environments (ILEs), libraries, break out spaces, teacher and educator spaces, foyers and reception areas as well as classrooms. Flexible furniture makes a terrific addition to the school environment. Flexible furniture can support a range of room settings and configurations, providing a welcoming place for formal or informal settings as well as traditional or future-focused learning spaces. Flexible furniture can provide independent, guided or collaborative work spaces, creating the ideal learning environment for individuals to work independently, in pairs or small groups. The right furniture will support participation and collaboration, reflection, group work as well as providing students the opportunity for independent, guided, feedback and reflection learning modes. We recommend to clean this furniture with a gentle cleaner on a moist cloth and dry thoroughly. Do not saturate the furniture and we do not recommend to use bleach or harsh cleaning agents. This furniture is for indoor use only and assembly is required. Do not drag or pull this furniture piece without castors or when the castors are locked as it will reduce the strength of the item and may void the warranty if misused. We always recommend to follow safe lifting procedures when moving our furniture and to regularly check that all screws and bolts are secure. The contents of this kit may vary. For more information on the current kit contents please see our kit components tab.
