This collection of beautiful Indigenous land animal cushions measure approximately 47 cm in length. These resources aid in the promotion of understanding and acceptance of different cultures, beliefs, languages, families, appearances and lifestyles. As children gain an understanding of their community, they also gain an understanding of themselves. This develops confidence and a sense of identity. Create an authentic environment that represents both the local and wider communities.
These cushions can be used to create comfortable play spaces, reading areas and also reception spaces. We love creating products that allow indigenous communities and artists to communicate their culture through their art and in turn allowing children to develop awareness and understanding of the significance of cultural heritage in their world.
Cushions are a wonderfully versatile seating option suitable for use in both early childhood settings or school environments for a range of learning modes. Use on their own or combine with low tables to create learning settings where students can work independently, in pairs or groups.
These large and comfortable cushions also make great spaces where students can participate in group work to collaborate, discuss or even present their learning. Arranged on the floor or propped up against the wall, they are the perfect size to melt into to read a good book or engage in quiet literacy exploration. Cushions and other soft furnishings are also a great informal way to break up learning spaces or providing students with quiet and relaxing learning areas away from the hustle and bustle of activity- both indoors and beyond.
These comfy cushions are also the perfect choice for the innovative learning environments (IPL) of modern schooling or flexible learning spaces- providing ever changing seating options to accommodate the size and needs of the class. Simply move cushions around the learning space to be used on their own, combined with low tables or other seating, or simply mix and match with other soft furnishings to make informal learning settings- ideal for experiential, feedback and reflection as well as guided learning modes. The options for large cushions are wonderfully open ended!
