Lakkari Pitt is a proud Gamilaroi yinarr from Walgett, NSW. Her artwork reflects her contemporary interpretation of cultural knowledge passed down from her Elders. Lakkari’s designs explore the movement, essence, and stories of Country, ensuring her stamps connect students to meaningful cultural understanding.
Lakkari acknowledges that Aboriginal symbols can vary widely across different First Nations groups. The symbols in these stamps reflect her personal cultural knowledge as passed down through generations.
